Clarksdale MS

I really hate this post. But I have pulled the plug on finishing this ride this week. I have developed a sore from a saddle issue. With the MS 150 a week and a half away I am going to temporarily suspend the MS river ride. I should be heale...d for the MS 150. And will resume the river ride post 150. Over 1300 miles complete. I will be cracking jokes and telling war stories on Saturday at the Sugar Cane Spin. See you there!

Cape Girardeau MO September 18, 2014

Cape Girardeau, MO
Long day on the bike today. 62 miles & 2800 feet. Made it to Cycle Works the local bike shop to grab a shower and head out to the local trail with Mr. Walker and the crew from the bike shop to test ride various fat tire bikes. Mr. Walker makes custom frames. Believe it or not that fat tire bike bearing his name handles like a sports car. Tomorrow is New Madrid !!!

Ste Genevieve

Beautiful ride in today on the Illinois side. I took the ferry across to St Genevieve. St Genevieve was the first city established west of the Mississippi River. There was a mix up with the camping arrangements that I made and didn't have a... camp spot for the night. All local bed and breakfast made me an incredible deal for this evening. I am staying in a 240 year old Motel this place is older than our country. I met a couple of bike tourist completing the MRT these ladies were awesome. I also met a gentleman and his father from Austrailia visiting a friend of theirs that was born in Louisiana that lives here now. Ste Genevieve is a beautiful little town must see if you get close
